Internet of Food 2020

The Internet of Food and Farm 2020 (IoF2020) project accelerates the uptake of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in the European farming and food chains with a view to strengthening their competitiveness and sustainability. The project is a result of the involvement of 71 partners that will strengthen the network, drawing together valuable knowledge.

AGROINTELLI is involved in the arable trial that aims to integrate operations across the cropping cycle by combining IoT technologies in gathering data about the growth and storage of crops. More specifically, AGROINTELLI will be working with Farm Machine Interoperability.

The implementation and adoption of IoT in the farming industry will generate large amounts of readily available data, which can be used to improve farming practices and management. AGROINTELLI will focus on adding value to the data with the aim of reducing soil degradation caused by heavy machinery’s traffic in the field, using route planning and navigation systems.

IoF2020 has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement no. 731884.
