High precision seeding in sugar beets is essential if farmers want to minimize the use of pesticides by doing mechanical weeding and band spraying. In this case a Monoseem NC pneumatic seeder was used for seeding sugar beets.
The Spraying
A way to minimize the pesticide usage in sugar beets is with band spraying where only a small band is sprayed and the rest is mechanical weeded. In this case a custom made band-sprayer from TS Agro was utilized 3 times for weed spraying.
The Weeding
High precision mechanical weeding is minimizing the need for sprayings in sugarbeets. In this case a mechanical interrow weeder from Schmotzer was utilized for 2 times interrow weeding.
